Day 01 – Gateway to Village Serenity: Kochi to Idukki
- Pick up from Ernakulam Railway Station or Cochin International Airport
- Embark on a picturesque journey from Kochi to Village Homestay in Idukki.
- Traverse the enchanting Western Ghat Road, surrounded by lush forests and spice plantations.
- Check into Village Homestay, Idukki.
- Explore a Spice Plantation and, if time permits, visit Thooval Waterfall.
- Overnight stay in the Village Homestay.
Day 02 – Idukki’s Marvels: Dam, Mount, and Tunnel
- Head to Idukki Dam Hill View Park, Asia’s Second Largest Arch Dam, for a boat ride.
- Explore Calvary Mount View Point.
- Visit Anchuruli Tunnel and Ayyappankovil Hanging Bridge.
- Return to the Village Homestay for an overnight stay.
DAY 03 – Thekkady Delight: Wildlife and Vistas
- Proceed to Thekkady after breakfast.
- Enjoy a boat ride on Periyar Lake (subject to ticket availability).
- Optionally, experience an Elephant Safari at Thekkady.
- Visit a Grape Plantation in Cumbum, Tamil Nadu, against the backdrop of Western Ghat Hills.
- Explore the panoramic views and statues at Ramakkalmedu.
- Check into a Resort with excellent views in Ramakkalmedu.
Day 04 – Munnar Magic: Hills and Tea Plantations
- After breakfast, journey to Munnar.
- Explore Chathurangapara Viewpoint via a 3 km diversion, followed by a 750-meter off-road Jeep Safari.
- Marvel at the breathtaking views of Western Ghat Hills and Windmills.
- Drive through the stunning Munnar Tea Plantation.
- Optionally visit Iravikulam National Park (closed Jan 21 – Apr 15 for breeding season), Tea Museum, Tea Factory, and Botanical Garden.
- Check into a Resort in Munnar for an overnight stay.
Day 05 – Alleppey Aquatics: Backwaters and Beyond
- Check out from the Resort after breakfast.
- Proceed to Alleppey.
- Check into a Homestay or Houseboat.
- Opt for a Houseboat Cruise or Shikkara Boating to experience Kerala Backwaters, witnessing unique paddy plantations below sea level.
- Optionally, visit Alleppey beach.
- Overnight stay in Homestay or Houseboat.
Day 06 – Varkala Vista: Cliffs and Coastlines
- After breakfast, proceed to Varkala Beach, one of India’s most beautiful beaches with stunning cliffs.
- Enroute, visit the Jatayu Para Statue Point.
- Check into a Homestay or Hotel in Varkala.
- Enjoy beach activities and witness the sunset.
- Overnight stay in Homestay or Hotel in Varkala.
Day 07 – Trivandrum Trail: Temples and Museums
- After breakfast, proceed to Trivandrum.
- Check into a Homestay or Hotel.
- Visit Sree Padmanabha Swami Temple.
- Explore Trivandrum Zoo (Closed on Mondays), Sree Chithra Art Gallery (Closed on Mondays), and Napier Museum (Closed on Mondays).
- Return to the Homestay for an overnight stay.
DAY 08 – Farewell: Return to Departure Point
- Proceed to Trivandrum Railway Station or Trivandrum Airport.
- Depart with a heart full of memories from your enriching 8 Days Kerala Village Tour.
